Student Leadership Programme 

at 

Manthuvil Sri Bharathy Vidyalayam, Chavakacheri, Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

Activity Description

1. Four days of facilitation sessions each containing 3 - 4 hours were conducted for selected 40 students at school after the school time. 

2. All the sessions were conducted with the participation of students. (Student centered sessions). 

3. Role play, Forum theater, Group discussion, Gaming, Presentation and brainstorming techniques were used at each session. 

4. Sessions were designed to enhance the skills of the students in the areas of Issue identification, Problem definition, Data collection and analysis based on the problem, Vision, Mission, Goals and Strategy formulation. 

5. Student groups were developed and facilitated to propose a plan for their community development by identifying the issue, defining a problem, collecting and analysing the data, and proposing the strategies for development. 

6. A proposal presentation was organized with the participation of a wider range of stakeholders who are inhabited and networked with the locality. This is the final day of this Student Leadership prograsmme.
